The most monolithic and enormous antique Giant Clam Shell or 'Tridacna Gigas' the biggest we have ever seen in 30 years in the antiques trade!

With incredible patination, natural wear and pearly pale white interior. The underside of the shell is reminiscent of a landscape covered by mosses and lichen from its history situated in a garden. The lips of the shell undulate in great volumes. It is sculptural in an otherworldly way.

This impressive antique specimen c.1880, not only looks stunning on display as a piece of natural history, but could be used externally, perhaps as a water feature. Alternatively, it could be used as a stylish champagne or wine cooler for the most opulent events.
