Giant Centrepiece Urn with Gothic Heads
A giant centrepiece urn with two Gothic faces in French Provencal style. Late 20th Century.
The wide lidded scrolling urn is topped with an ornate finial. It’s handles are connected by an abundant foliate garland on front and back, each side being crowned by a Gothic central head wearing bonnets of flowers.
With real presence, this enormous piece would make a magnificent statement, with or without the addition of a plinth to raise it to eye level.
Created from sharply cast stone composite with a historical patination of lichen and moss.
