Large Pair of Anduze Urns
A gorgeous pair very large “Jarre d’Anduze” Anduze Urns by the French pottery ‘Le Chene Vert’. Produced in the late 20th Century. Anduze is a small French village in Provence which is famous for its hand-crafted clay pot, urn and jarre production. The craftsmen create work in the Medici form, perpetuating a 400 year old tradition. Adorned with garlands and medallions, with remnants of green and brown glaze in the “flammé” design. The urns have wonderful patina, great big iron staples and historical repairs which add to the absolute charm of these pieces.
