Nasturtium Bench in Aluminium, after Coalbrookdale from Crowe Hall, Bath
A wonderful Victorian-style aluminium powder-coated bench, after the famous Coalbrookdale ‘Nasturtium’ design. Late 20th Century.
Being aluminium, the bench is much lighter weight enabling positioning to make the most of the summer sunshine in the garden a much easier task!
The bench is now delightfully patinated after many years being exposed to the elements.
The naturalistic design features swirling linking nasturtium tendrils, and Victorian wrought iron work scrolled sections. The back of the bench is surmounted by a classical mask. The original design was created circa 1870.
