Pair of Italian Terracotta Throne Chairs
A fabulous rare matching pair of Italian terracotta throne chairs in the Greek style.
Manufactured in the Early to Mid 20th Century by the maker ‘Laterizi O. Cecchi’ in the Northern Italian province of Pistoia.
The makers stamp is clearly visible. This well respected manufacturer sadly closed its doors as the 20th century came to an end.
The thrones feature horned beasts with giant wings which link together forming the back rest and arms of this wonderful pair of Italian garden seats.
With beautiful patination and wear, and the odd knock and nibble - these unique statement pieces would bring a timeless feel, not to mention - the “wow factor” - to your orangery, terrace or Italianate garden!
